The ninth edition of Taste of London celebrated the best of world-class cuisine with a host of new international features and the most impressive line-up of Michelin starred restaurants and chefs in its history. The event was held in Regents Park.
Celebrating London’s vibrant restaurant scene, the festival helps set the stage for a truly international summer, boasting a total of 11 Michelin stars with a line up including Le Gavroche, Gauthier Soho, Rhodes 24, Club Gascon, Petrus, Maze, Benares and Tamarind.
New food trends were discovered as chefs from around the world took to the AEG Theatre to showcase international flavours, collaborating and going head to head with culinary masters from different cultures.
New entrants
Some of the hottest restaurants of the capital made their debut at the open air food and drink festival. Featuring Jason Atherton’s award winning Pollen Street Social, Bar Boulud, Whitechapel Gallery, The Corner Room, Barbecoa and newly launched Iberica Canary Wharf and Cinnamon Soho.
The Secret Garden
Once again, the Secret Garden offered a rare opportunity to get behind the scenes access to some of the world’s best chefs. The refuge played host to a number of tasty treats including a Laurent-Perrier Rose Champagne reception, private cocktail bar, exclusive food tastings and top tips and foodie insights from world-renowned chefs.
Visitors dined from 40 of the capital’s top restaurants, serving a mix of Asian, European and South American cuisine, enjoying international flavours from Malaysia, Brazil, Peru and the Caribbean.
