For the first time ever, Christie’s will auction two iconic portraits created by Andy Warhol, which features renowned figures of Elvis Presley and Marlon Brando. These portraits reflect Warhol’s rare intensity that can be found in his works, as both artworks highlight the raw cool and glamour elements of these male celebrities.

Before being auctioned in New York on November 12th, will tour to Asia, Europe and US, giving the opportunity to the international public to view Triple Elvis [Ferus Type] and Four Marlons side by side.

Presenting these two portraits together offers an for collectors and institutions. As put forward by Brett Gorvy, Chairman and International Head of Post-War and Contemporary Art, “Many will make their own choice over favoring Elvis or Marlon. It is going to be a battle of the greatest super heroes ever, where in the end, someone could buy both. Unseen on the market for almost 40 years, these masterworks represent the greatest icons of the 20th century and Warhol’s career.”
