Simo Simpson, Owner
London’s oldest Whiskey shop ‘Milroy’s’ is now set for its relaunch on the 5th March as a Whiskey specialist retailer & basement cocktail bar in Soho.
‘Milroys’ was established in 1964 by the Milroy brothers, regarded as royalty amongst Whiskey lovers at the time.
New owner Simo Simpson, formerly the owner of ‘‘, promises to breath new life into ‘Milroy’s’ brand by making it synonymous with Whiskey once again.
The retail section of ‘Milroy’s’ will sell own brand Whiskeys as well as carefully selected independent bottles; some exclusive to ‘Milroy’s’ and some from around the world. Alongside the carefully selected bottles will be handpicked casks, where people can pour and blend their own Whiskeys.
People will also be able to try the Whiskeys before purchasing them at the ‘Whiskey Tasting Bar’. Customers can also expect to learn something as not only will Milroy’s product be high quality but the staff will be well trained on the subject of Whiskey.
Upstairs will also be the ‘Milroy’s Bar’ where people can hide away and enjoy over 250 unique whiskeys, poured in measurements of 35 instead of 25ml.
Downstairs will be the basement cocktail bar ‘The Vault’. A 55 seat cocktail bar that will serve up seasonal cocktails with home infused spirits. Additionally, people can soak up the alcohol as the bar provides cheese and meat boards.
A unique feature of ‘Milroy’s’ will be that customers who purchase a bottle over £200 will receive an on site whiskey locker. Customers will get a locker with their name on it, as well as key, so they can lock away their purchased Whiskey and revisit it whenever they want.
‘The Vault’ will be Open from:
6pm – 11:30pm Tuesday to Thursday & 5pm – 12am Friday to Saturday
