The Story

You can be amongst a select few to attend the preview of this upcoming solo exhibition. Ronchini Gallery presents the exhibition of Irish artist Sean Lynch.

The exhibition will be comprised of photographs and installations that take the DeLorean car factory as a starting point. The company operated in Dunmurry, just outside of Belfast, from 1981-2. The artist’s practice positions him somewhere between artist and storyteller. Sean Lynch ethnographically reveals unwritten stories and forgotten histories. He extracts alternative readings of place, events and artefacts through his work.

In 1982 John DeLorean was arrested in Los Angeles for alleged drug possession. While he was later cleared this coupled with technical production issues and many other factors lead to the close of the factory after just two years. This was despite heavy investment and government backing. The car did however go on to become a cult favourite through the movie Back to the Future.

Don’t miss out on your chance to be one of the first at the preview of this exciting exhibition. A must for fans of the film make sure you RSVP.
