Karl Lagerfeld and Joël Robuchon | Teaming up in Monte-Carlo

To celebrate the opening of a third Joël Robuchon restaurant at Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo, Karl Lagerfeld has been invited to redesign its outside premises as well as the new restaurant. This is one of the most exciting artistic and architectural collaborations with a hotel. This incredible duo, each at the top of their trade, are coming together to reflect the hotel’s philosophy: a true symbol of luxury and elegance in the 21st Century.

David Bowie Is… taking over the V&A

A new blockbuster exhibition is taking place at the Victoria and Albert Museum: David Bowie is. Focusing on one of the most iconic figures of our time, the show is the first international retrospective of David Bowie’s extraordinary career. Through this show the V&A explores Bowie’s music and radical individualism, and how it has both influenced and been influenced by wider movements in art, design and contemporary culture.

Art Paris Art Fair 2013 | An Eastern Flair

From 28th March to 1st April 2013, Art Paris Art Fair will be bringing together 144 galleries from 20 countries under the majestic glass roof of the Grand Palais. The fair presents modern and contemporary art and is confirming its identity as the art event that focuses on the art scenes of the East (Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia). With 74 newcomers to the fair, the 2013 selection brings profound changes and a notable expansion of its international dimension.

Treasures from Annabel’s Founder Mark Birley | Sotheby’s

Sotheby’s London is offering for sale the collection of distinguished London club owner Mark Birley (1930-2007), on 21st March 2013. The auction will comprise property from Thurloe Lodge, Birley’s home in Kensington for nearly 30 years, which encapsulated much of the elegance and charm of his celebrated clubs, from Annabel’s to Harry’s Bar. With over 500 lots spanning 12 different collecting disciplines, the estimates range from £50 to £250,000.
