Polish Art Now│A Taste of Eastern Europe at Saatchi Gallery

One of Poland’s most accomplished fine art auctioneers, Abbey House, is collaborating with London’s Saatchi Gallery to present an impressive collection of contemporary Polish art, from 3rd – 10th of June. The exhibiton will showcase works by some of Poland’s most imporatant and prominent artists, and will be a crucial step in establishing greater awareness of Polish contemporary art.

Art Car Boot Fair | Brick Lane Bargains

Featuring 70 of the best British artists, from Sir Peter Blake and Gavin Turk to Marcus Harvey and Billy Childish, the tenth Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair is set to cause a stir when it opens on the 9th June at the Old Truman Brewery. Set in a car park, the one day event, famous for being the day where the art world is less formal and more relaxed, will see artists selling originals and limited editions of their work.

NOT the Royal Academy│Alternative Art Appreciation

This year, ‘Not the Royal Academy’ will take place between the 10 June – 17 August 2013. Now in its 23rd year, the exhibiton has experienced a tremendous growth in popularity and generated a loyal following from collectors and admirers, due to the ambition and quality of the work on display.

Changing Focus│Sotheby’s Russian Photography Auction

On the 5th June 2013 in London, Sotheby’s will present for auction ‘Changing Focus: A Collection of Russian and Eastern European Contemporary Photography’. The private collection, which is in excess of 800 photographs, encompasses works by artists living in the former Soviet Union and operating under the radar of the Soviet government.

Fresh Food Frenzy │ Slow Food Week 2013

Slow Food is a comprehensive reinterpretation of every-day eating. It aims to help people enjoy preparing, consuming and sharing food more, by educating and enlightening them on the benefits of sustainably sourced and locally produced food. Slow Food Week 2013 will take place from Saturday 1st – Sunday 9th June, with an enoromous selection of exciting fundraising events happening worldwide.

Chef Tom Kerridge | Bringing Two Michelin Stars to Royal Ascot

This year, the unmissable Royal Ascot will be taking place from 18th June to 22nd June. Being a pinnacle event in the summer social calendar, rooted in British heritage and pageantry, Royal Ascot will this year be welcoming Chef Tom Kerridge to the Panoramic Restaurant.

Aqua Shard│London’s Restaurants on the Rise

Aqua Shard will open this July, solidifying the prominence of Aqua Restaurant Group’s international presence. The Hong Kong based company have 23 restaurants across Hong Kong, Beijing and London Their first UK site which opened on Regent Street in 2009.

Tanner & co. London │ Bermondsey Street’s Most Recent Restaurant

Bermondsey Street, one of London’s premier dining locations, will receive a new addition to its repertoire of restaurants when Tanner & co. opens this month. The dynamic venue is set to launch over the bank holiday weekend of 23rd – 27th May 2013.

Meltdown Festival | Yoko Ono at Southbank Centre

Iggy and the Stooges, Siouxsie and Boy George are just some of the acts performing at the 20th Anniversary of Meltdown Festival, running from 14 – 23 June. Yoko Ono, the curator for this year’s event, will be bringing a lifetime of musical achievement, visual arts and activism to the London festival which will coincide with her 80th birthday.
