Tom’s Kitchen Canary Wharf | Tom Aikens Heads East

The heart of Canary Wharf will soon see the opening of Tom’s Kitchen, a modern British Brasserie which uses the finest locally sourced ingredients. Located in Westferry Circus, the new venue will be open seven days a week and will be serving from breakfast right through to dinner.

Leaps Jumps and Bumps | Sturtevant at the Serpentine Gallery

The first solo exhibition of Elaine Sturtevant’s work to be held in a public institution in the UK will take place at the Serpentine Gallery, from 28th June – 26th August 2013. The controversial American artist resides in Paris and has been renowned for her groundbreaking exploration of authenticity, authorship, originality and representation since she broke onto the New York art scene in the mid 1960s.

Pakta │ Peru Meets Japan with El Equipo Creativo & the Adrià Brothers

Earlier this year, elBulli’s Ferran Adrià and brother Albert opened a new restaurant which fuses Peruvian and Japanese cuisine, Pakta, in Barcelona. After implementing unorthodox and innovative cooking techniques for 20 years at the three-Michelin-starred and five-time World’s Best Restaurant elBulli, the Adrià brothers have moved on to a new challenge.

Bill Cunningham New York | Ultra Vie Private Screening

Wednesday 12th June saw journalists, bloggers and fashion peeps gather for Ultra Vie’s private screening event at the Soho Business Club, with the award winning fashion documentary ‘Bill Cunningham New York.’ After the screening, there was a Q&A session with photographer Dvora, who freelances for Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair among others and blogs on her website fashionistable.com, blogger Pearl Westwood from Fashion Pearls of Wisdom, and freelance photographer Al De Perez, answering questions on street style and blogging. Drinks were sponsored by Peroni as well as gourmet popcorn by Propercorn.

Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2013 | The Shortlist

The shortlist for each category of the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2013 have been announced, and once again include entries from the world’s leading architects, interior and lighting designers, and hospitality operators. The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, now in its fifth year, celebrates the best food and beverage spaces from around the globe in all types of environments including hotels, transport, business, culture, leisure and retail.

I Only Want You to Love Me | Interview with Miles Aldridge

Miles Aldridge’s brilliant photography focuses on unique scenes with psychologically complex characters, often placed in surreal settings. Offering an appealing mix of sexuality and sweetness, he invites the viewer to uncover a deeper layer of meaning in his lush photographs.

Lowry and the Painting of Modern Life │ Tate Britain

A major exhibition of urban landscapes, by revered British painter LS Lowry (1887 – 1976), will be held at Tate Britain from 25 June – 20 October 2013. Lowry and the Painting of Modern Life is the first exhibition, held by a public institution in London, to focus on Lowry’s work since his death in 1976.

Luna Rossa│Authentic Italian Dining in West London

The popular family-run restaurant, Luna Rossa, has recently been refurbished and reopened with a new modernised concept. Governed by the Made in Italy Group, the Notting Hill restaurant set its sights on a June 2013 re-launch following a prior decade of success.
